SWBAT confirm predictions by revising a list of predictions.

Agenda:

• Jumpstart: In Chapter 11, PIggy says, “Which is better–to be a pack of painted Indians like you are, or to be sensible like Ralph is?” What is your reaction to this quote? What was Golding trying to say? Was he effective?
• Read LOTF Chapter 12, pages 183-191
• WWW Unit 3 Introduction: Charades

SWBAT demonstrate understanding of vocabulary words by taking a test.

Agenda

• Jumpstart: Chapter 4, “Painted Faces and Long Hair,” is filled with conflict and violence. What groups are the boys dividing into? How will the boys, especially Piggy,  be affected by this violence?
• Worthwhile Words Unit 1 Test
• LOTF Predictions: Look at the list of predictions we made before beginning LOTF. Circle predictions that have proven accurate. Cross out predictions you no longer think are probable.
• Begin reading LOTF Chapter 5.
